Outlook 2007 how do I merge multiple contact folders?

Our 'helpful' interns have accidentally created three contact folders for me,
all populated. Before I simply drag one into another of these folders, I
want to make sure that's the correct way to merge them. I'm assuming that as
I drag a folder with about 400 contacts, it will identify each duplicate and
allow me to review the info in the two choices so I can choose the most
current. Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks.

It is not correct. Outlook provides no such ability. You would not drag the
folder into another. That accomplishes nothing. You would drag the contents
of a folder into another. Then you run a duplicate checker.
