Outlook 2007 freezes on startup

I upgraded to Office Pro 2007 from Office XP about a year ago. I have
experienced this problem from the beginning. About 10% of the time, when I
start Outlook it freezes. The status line at the bottom left displays "(2
items remaining) Loading Dataset". It is impossible to force Outlook to
close. You can attempt to force a close and send error information to
Microsoft until hell freezes over, but it will not exit. One time when it
froze, I left it alone to see if it would eventually finish loading, but 2
hours later it was in the same state. The only way I can recover from this
is to cycle power. I use 3 e-mail accounts: two IMAP and one POP. I've run
the MS Office Diagnostic and it finds no problems. Any ideas?

This is a problem that happens on a consistent basis! If I can't get
Microsoft to resolve this, and no-one here has any suggestions, how do I get
this resolved? It happens on both my laptop and my desktop so it's NOT
specific to my computer or its setup. (The open-source office suite is
looking better all the time.)

I have the same issue on several PC's at work. It freezes on the
configuration page on the initial set up. It's only on MS office 2007
version. Still searching for an answer. I ran Window updates, MS office
updates, MS Repair. Removed MS Office Exchange re-added. Created new .pst
files. Nothing solve the issue so far.
