Outlook 2007 dulpicates task in To-Do List

Problem:
Whenever I add a task, it appears twice in the To-Do-list but once in the
tasks list. When I delete the multiple entry in the To-Do list, the double
entry is also deleted but the entry in the task list is deleted as well?

What I have done:
Reinstalled Outlook 2007 - problem persists
Created a new .pst file - problem persists

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance for
those that provide their input.

Thanks Diane for responding.

Every entry in my To-Do list is doubled. I have 149 tasks in my task folder
and 298 corresponding tasks in my To-Do-list...?? When I delete one task in
the task list, both corresponding doubling tasks in the To-Do list are
deleted as well and vica-versa when I delete one of the 298 To-Do items, the
doubling entry in the To-Do list is deleted along with the same entry in the
Task list. Too weird...would this be a .pst file issue...can't see how
though..

FYI...I am using the simple list view.

I might be able to provide you with a print screen if you require further
clarification.

Thanks Diane, much obliged.

it sounds like its just one task but doubled in the view. Which view are you
using?
