Outlook 2007 Distribution List Problem

I have upgraded to Outlook 2007 and trying to send a meeting request to a
distribution list that I created (worked in Outlook 2003) and it's giving
this error "could not complete operation. one or more parameters are invalid".

Any ideas?

How did you perform the upgrade and how did you reconnect your data to the new
Outlook?

Office 2007 upgrade through a centralized software delivery catalog. The
problem is with local or self created DL's. Once you add the DL to the
"Required:" field and select OK, the DL turns into simi-colons....DL name is
gone from the "To" field and you then received the error "could not complete
operation. one or more parameters are invalid".

This does not happen with emails, only meeting requests.

Thanks for any insight.

Is the DL in a Contacts folder or in the GAL? When you upgraded, did you
create a new mail profile?

So sorry for the delay - out with the flu :-(

The DL's are in a Contacts folder. Even created new one's since the upgrade
and have the same problem. Did not create a new mail profile.

The "Display As" field should appear between those semicolons for each contact
in the DL when you expand it. If you open the DL from the Contacts folder,
does the Name field contain the Display As values for each of the contacts?

Yeah, very strange, the Display As field doesn't appear, only the semicolons
when you expand the DL.

If I use the DL in an email, everything is fine. Only when creating a
Meeting Request in the Calendar.
