Outlook 2007 - deleting emails

S

Sabo, Eric

I am running Outlook 2007 in non-cache mode, when I go to delete over 2,000
message it does not work. All it will do is blank out the INBOX like there
is nothing in the inbox folder. But when I click on a folder and come back
to the inbox all my emails are still there.

Is there a limit on how many messages one can delete at a time?

Thanks in advance,
Eric Sabo

Are you using an Exchange mailbox?

Not that I'm aware. In non-Cached Exchange Mode, I can imagine it taking a
significant amount of time for a folder sync to occur when such a wholesale
change is made. One of the main purposes of Cached Exchage mode is to allow
an operation such as you describe to interfere less with the interactive
nature of the GUI.
