Outlook 2007 Crashes when doing drop down menus.

I know this sounds very weird but my outlook 2007 crashes everytime I try to
do any of the drop down menus. I noticed this when I went to email a calendar
and tried to use the drop down to choose "Specific Dates". Then I noticed it
when I went to change the way it displays contact names "First/Last". I have
tried to change the outcmd and the msmapi and all the other files mentioned
here. Nothing has worked. I have turned on error logging. It seems to be a
"My Laptop" problem. I have un-installed Outlook2007 and installed it on my
wifes Vista powered HP laptop and it works fine there. Here is what I have: I
have a fairly new HP laptop with XP. I had the 2007 version of outlook and
just upgraded to the paid version. I have had Office 2000 installed before
but I removed it before installing any of the 2007 stuff. I really need help
please.

Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode? If so, it is most likely an issue caused
by an addin you have installed.
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

No, Im sorry I should of mentioned that I tried to run it on "safe mode" and
it still doesnt work. How do I check for add ins. I tried what I think you
mentioned on another post about going to tools/options/other/advanced and I
couldnt find anything there about addins? Is there a different way to find
them? I really appreciate all this help.

Error Reporting is reporting to Microsoft ;-)
You can use the Application Log in the Event Viewer what is being logged
regarding the crash. It's best to look at the time of the event to determine
the correct one regarding your issue.

would an AVG add-in also be a problem? I used the same version before however I had to reload it..

Thanks
