Outlook 2007 contact converter error (Vista x86)

Pedro

Under Vista Ultimate x86(oem) and outlook 2007, I cannot import contacts by any method showed. Ive tried access, comma-separated, excell.. all them showing "error in the converter while obtaining contents from filesystem",

I've checked that files to import aren't open and have taken ownership of them. I've also tried to open them after being saved in different locations (ouside /user, another disk, etc).

Does the owner has to be outlook itself? If so, how can it be done?

Any help would be appreciated,

thank you

The method you use is determined by the format in which these Contacts
reside. That would be the first thing you should post. If they are in
Outlook format, you would not use import at all.

Thenk you Russ,

They are not in outlook format. They are contacts comming from other software and external databases, and exported as acces files, comma-separated xls's, etc..

I can easily modify its fields and contents to fit whatever format outlook may need for importing, but everytime it gives me the "error in the converter while obtaining contents from filesystem".

It do not even gives an error about incorrect format, it simply seems not being able to open the files to import.

Outlook can import all of those formats. List the exact steps you are using
and what happens when you try for each database type. Also, verify that you
installed the necessary Importers and Exporters.
