Outlook 2007 and Vista problems

System information:

Vista 32 Ultimate
Microsoft Office Professional

I set up Outlook 2007 to connect to my Exchange server and download
messages every few minutes. It starts out fine, but the send/receive
status sits at about 90%, and gradually, Outlook stops connecting
every few minutes. When I start a send/receive manually, the dialog
box will sit at various degrees of incomplete (it varies), and it
never closes. If I try to close it and exit, Outlook does not really
close (some of the processes are still running in the background), and
I have to reboot to close out completely.

I have the exact same office 2007 setup on my XP lapotop, and it has
no problems.

A secondary problem is that Word (and Excel at times), fails to start
and gives me a message that the program needs to close (it does not
happen on the XP system).

Any ideas?

This is my experience that have with Outlook 2007 and Vista.

When I add contacts to emails using the select names:contacts dialog
box and
send an email out. Outlook goes into a NEVER ENDING SEND and RECEIVE
LOOP.

The email doesnt go out. and I have to terminate outlook in the task
manager.

But on the other hand if I type in the email address directly into an
new
outlook email message. It is fine.
