Thanks for all your help, at least it was somewhere to start, I really
hate to redo everything again but maybe I will have to.

I'm at a loss, I'm afraid. Perhaps someone else will have a suggestion.
I did reformat all over again and now eveything works fine I created
an account for my wife with no problem. I have anoter question if you
don't mind, I want to backup my pst files for both accounts but how
can I do that?

From your wife's account, start Outlook and click
Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>COM Add-Ins>Add. Browse to C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Addins ("Office10" in this may be
"Office11"), select outbak.dll, and click OK. Stop and restart Outlook.
The Backup command should appear in the File menu after that.
