Outlook 2003 wont close if Activesync is installed.

Basically, Outlook hangs on closing if Activesync is also on the machine. If
I have Outlook 2002 installed instead, there is no issue whatesoever.

I have tried this a thousand times, the issue repeats consistantly across
differant hardware. It only seeems to be a problem with Outlook 2003.

Latest service packs and version of Activesync does not seem to make a
differance.

Uncradle your PDA first or it will continue to sync with Outlook-> you just
close the main interface, ActiveSync holds the process.

Tips of the month:
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

Thats not a very good solution.
Why does it work just fine with previous versions of Outlook?

I assume because the Beta testers of Outlook 2003 never thought of it.

It doesn't. Outlook 2000 and 2002 also remain open as long as the PDA is
cradled.
