Outlook 2003 - Win XP Pro

Anna

I received an email that had some rather important attachments.

When they were received in outlook 2003, the attachment was blocked with the
message "Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe
attachments: filename.extenstion"

Is the attachment lost or can it be recovered?

Thank you.

I aint no expert but from the looks of it you Mailing program consideres the
attchments have unsafe content so first they are not lost and secodn maybe
setting you security setting on your outlook lower may allow them to be seen

This group deals with general issues with the Windows XP operating system,
of which Outlook is not a part. Please readdress your question to the
appropriate group - there are at least half-a-dozen that deal with Outlook.

If you are uncomfortable in editing the registry, give Ken Slovak's addin a
go.

ps - the attachments are still there. outlook is just blocking access to.
always remember to verify with the sender that they sent what they really
sent. too many viruses/worms today have the ability to spoof/forge the
senders address.
