Outlook 2003 vs. 2007: Week view

I miss the week view that displayed 7 days on two big colums, with times
compressed within days. How do I get that in 2007?

Right on, brother! The 2-column view was the only one I used in Outlook
2003, and the lack of it is a real disadvantage of 2007. After all, isn't
displaying events efficiently one of the 2 key functions of a Calendar? (the
other function being scheduling meetings)

Completely agree - I have spent ages looking within Outlook 2007 for the only
useful weekly view ... what a waste of my time! I didn't even consider the
idea that MS would have removed this feature.

They had better put this right in a very forthcoming update.

It will not be coming back.

Seems like a lot of people are looking for this view from 2003 to be
duplicated in 2007. I'll check back to see if anyone knows anything..

I've got to throw my 2-cents in and say that after I upgraded from Outlook
2003 to Outlook 2007 and found out that the nice two column week view was
gone was quite a disappointment to me. I use Outlook every day, all day
(like I'm sure many others do) and to have this view suddenly go away was
quite disconcerting.

With all of Microsoft's resources, one would think that they can get this
view back in, especially with so many people who want it.

As explained many times, that view was sacrificed to allow for the calendar overlay feature.

I had no idea that the 2 column weekly view wouldn't be avaiable in Outlook
2007. It's hard to believe that Microsoft would get rid of that view - for
whatever the reason. I tried to get used to the new view, but it just isn't
working for me, and I'd like to uninstall the program and re-install 2003.
Does anyone know how I would go about doing that and not lose my calendar and
contacts? Thanks much.

Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Microsoft Office->Change->Make Outlook unavailable. Then in your previous preferred version, install only Outlook.

Any update on if this view will be coming back? I know alot of people
complaining about it? Has MS heard the feedback? What is the right forum to
give the feedback?

Milly - I find it really frustrating that all you keep replying is that the
view is gone due to the overlay feature. The fact that the view is gone is
the issue and folks want to know where they can provide feedback to influence
the dev team to figure out a way to bring it back. Just telling people "its
gone for good" doesn't help anyone. Please consider some positive feedback
and suggestions when people raise this issue. It is obviously a hot button
with alot of people.

If you have a retail version of Office/Outlook 2007, you can file a support incident on this issue. This is the best way to let Microsoft know that you see a problem with the application. Unlimited support for Office/Outlook 2007 is free for the first 90 days after activation. See http://support.microsoft.com/gp/vista_supoffnew for more information on this support policy.
