Outlook 2003 Vista Business Trying to Find a pst file when opened

I deleted a folder from Personal Folders - it was of no use. Now every time
I open Outlook get error message file C:\ [then lists path to where the other
Office data files were stored] .pst cannot be found. I had no idea there was
a pst file in that path or what it may have been doing. Can anybody help a
novice please? Thanks

You are mixing things here. Deleting a folder from within Personal Folders
(a pst-file) doesn't have a C:\<path> reference. It sounds like you have
deleted a folder on your C:\ drive containing a pst-file which was connected
to Outlook.
You can try to remove the reference via File-> Data File Management...

Thanks Roady I am sure you are correct. However how do I make the changes
you have recommended? Sorry to be such a lay person.

As I said; File-> Data File Management... from within Outlook.
Or did you happen to delete your main pst-file and now are unable to start
Outlook?
