Outlook 2003 tasks still/again broken

I know some people have reported this, but I haven't seen a solution yet.

Tasks are not accepted on arrival as tasks, but as message with attachment.
The message will not "open" and the accept/decline buttons are useless in
the preview pane.

This occured after the installation of KB924085, 10 Jan 2007.

Previously this same problem occured after the installation of KB892843, 11
Jan 2006, but was fixed when this was replaced by KB913807, 15 March 2006.

Removal of all these updates make it work again, though tasks have to be
re-sent by the originator, as they appear to be processed as a task on their
arrival.
Reinstallation of only the latest update, KB924085, once again fails tasks.

I had the exact same problem, I can receive the tasks but clicking
'Accept' or 'Decline' does nothing. I also could not open the
message. I removed KB924085 and am able to accept and decline the
tasks, as well as open the message.
