Dave Couch

I am running Outlook 2003 on an XP64 machine. I have setup a web site and
email using Offivce Live Business. I am trying to read my Office Live
(Hotmail) from outlook. I cannot use "connector" because it does not support
XP64. I have tried setting up my account in outlook to synch to my Office
Live email. It seems to go ok, but when I try to log in I can't get passed
the Password screen. My Office Live login in "(e-mail address removed),
but my email is (e-mail address removed). I'm not completely sure I am
using the correct logins at the correct places in my setup. Can anyone help??

Diane, I think I got things setup. I created a new Live Id account for my
..com address. My outlook 2003 now appears to be communicating, however, it
now says Hotmail now needs a subscription. When I go to my Office Live site,
it tells me that they have changed from Hotmail to Live Mail. I can't seem
to figure out how to connect to "live.Mail.com." in Outlook to get my email.

Very Frustrating.

You should use the live account, I think. Which do you use to check the mail
in a browser?

That error usually occurs when you haven't upgraded the account to a live
mail account and normally you do it by logging into hotmail.com but I don't
know if that is how it works with the domain accounts at office live.

I'm not sure if this has any bearing, but the new url will not be
live.mail.com, but mail.live.com. The connector should do that for you,
unless you are trying to use POP3.

Diane, thanks. I found that I misspelled mail.live.com. I corrected it but
still no go. Can you tell me the correct url (complete) for mail.live.com...
Since I can't run the connector I don't know what is expected.

Thanks, Dave
