Outlook 2003 suddenly uninstalled

After attempting to download/install many MS updates including service pack 3
(which failed to install--along with several others--despite disabling my
norton firewall/antivirus software) I logged back onto my computer to find
that MS Outlook, which has been working fine until now, had seemingly
uninstalled itself. When I opened the icon it opened the install wizard to
set-up Outlook as if it had never been done before. I called Quest (my ISP)
and they had me re-install using their server info. Now I continuously get a
pop up window asking to verify my network password, which I've done and am
sure is correct, but will not move past there. I also get and error
0x800CCC92. I also noticed that all of my address contact information is gone
from Outlook, as well as any deleted/sent/inbox messages. I can access my
email from Hotmail just fine, though (without any of the contacts there
either). The only other thing I've done is complete several Live Updates
from Norton. Now Quest says it's not their problem; it's Microsoft's. I don't
want to pay MS $50, can someone please help me?

You would need to uninstall Norton, then use the tool available on Norton
site to completely remove. Then clear out your temp files, before then
running an Office repair, using the CD or Add/Remove dialogue, or from
within Word.
Once that is done revisit MS Update see if sp3 then installs, if it doesnt
post the err details to the winupdate group.
You need to figure out the sp3 problem, before you then move on to the
Office problem
