I'm running Outlook 2003 to my domain's IMAP server, and need to do SMTP AUTH
logins to send mail (my laptop roves through several different ISP's every
day). I also need to use an alternate SMTP port as some ISPs block port 25
traffic.
If I use another email client, such as Thunderbird, I have no problem
sending and receiving email. When I use Outlook, the userid arrives at the
SMTP server messed up. For example, the userid 'tbrodie' arrives as 'bXodie'
(as logged on the SMTP server).
Problem is, I need to use Outlook calendaring to manage my appointments and
need to have calendar emails send/receive all day long.
What do I need to do to get Outlook to send the correct userid?
Best regards... Tim
