Outlook 2003 send/receive while outlook is open

I just installed Outlook and sussessfully connected to servers. I must hit
Send/Receive to send/receive mail. I know there is setting that will allow
for the mail to come and go automatically. Where is this setting? Thanks in
advance.

as special the part:
"Automatically get new messages"
Select here in your account "every 1 minute"

Only you would never set the polling interval to 1 minute. 10 is the lower
limit you should use.

To give a bit of explanation regarding the polling interval:

Per VanguardLH:
If a mail session hasn't completed downloading the current list of new
e-mails and then another mail session is started, the first gets aborted
and the 2nd tries to yank the same e-mails as the prior session tried
to yank. There is rarely any need for someone to be polling their
mailbox every minute and is abusive to the e-mail provider.

So make sure you aren't polling them at overly short intervals since
you could be stepping on an existing mail session with another
mail session.

we use an internal Mailserver who receive every 5 minutes the mails.
The clients ask every minutes for new mails and do not get any problems.

You are right if you receive directly mails from your provider, every minute
is to often.

Sorry here I am wrong..

I think the time settings depence on the number of emails and how huge are
the attachments.
