Outlook 2003 help please..

Matt

I have a Samsung i830 and had some phone numbers transferred from an older
phone into it and sync-ed it to my computer with Active-Sync 3.7.1... It
seems to have overridden all of my contacts stored in Outlook 2003 and
replaced them with my phonebook contacts. Did I just loose over 2 years of
email contacts or is there any way to retrieve them?

You didn't lose them if you make proper backups as you should. However, if
you don't have a backup, the sync makes the prior data unrecoverable. That
said, try this:

Just restore from a recent backup. Anyone who uses synch software backs up
their data frequently because synchronization can often make unanticipated
but permanent changes to the data.

Ahh... unfortunately no one warned me that synch was so unpredictable... in
fact the salesman at the cell phone store said that it worked flawlessly
every time. And it might have been nice if the software would have suggested
making a backup before proceeding, but oh well... live and learn.

Wel the strange thing is that if I go to contacts I only see the phone
numbers from my phone... but Outlook still auto-completes all my email
addresses.

Autocomplete has no relationship whatsoever to your contacts folders.
