Outlook 2003/Exch 2003 msgs stuck in Outbox until manual/send rece

Hi there,

One of our e-mail users is having a problem with messages staying in the
Outbox until Send/Receive is performed manually. When Send/Receive is
performed, the messages are delivered.

Here is the configuration:

Outlook 2003
Exchange 2003, cached mode
Windows XP SP3

When Outlook is loaded in safe mode (outlook /safe), the messages are
delivered as soon as they are sent. However, I have also tried disabling all
add-ons and COM add-ons, and this does not fix the problem.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Earl,

Is outlook in off line mode by any chance? if yes click on file -
unchecked "work off line".
If not check if automatic send and receive is disabled - click on tools
- send and receive - send and receive settings - unchecked "disable
automatic send and receive"

Hi Vasu,

Sorry, I should have noted that I had already looked at those settings.
Outlook is in Online (Connected) mode. Send/Receive has not been disabled
(the checkbox is not checked).
