Outlook 2003 Distribution Lists

G

Guest

I am sending a email using a distribution list of 100 plus recipients.

I get a return email saying the following recipients could not be reached,
452 Too many Recipients

My server has no limitations on sending email, is there a limitation on this
software?

I would be gratful if anyone could help.

Many Thanks

Who sent you back the notification? If your ISP did, then you certainly do have a limitation on the number of recepients.

Outlook has no restrictions unless placed there by an Exchange or other Email Admin who may work for your company. If this is a home installation, your ISP will set the limits. The notice did not automagically appear, it was sent from your ISP. If you right click on it and select options, you will see the originator of the message.

Contact your ISP for their limits.

Why not just post the entire "administrator" message so we don't have to guess?

Okay, contact your ISP and ask them what their upper limit is on distribution lists. Many if not all ISPs limit how many people can be sent the same message to prevent spam. Some ISPs will allow a larger allotment if you upgrade to a business account. See what your ISP says on the matter - again, it is the ISP, not Outlook that is generating that message.
