outlook 2003 creates several copies of same email

Outlook 2003 creates multiple copies of my Email especially those from
listservs. I have checked my ISP inbox before downloading and there is only
one copy there, However when I download with Outlook 2 appear in the
software. I get enough email I do not need to double it. Any Ideas how to
fix this quirk?

Possibly Rules are clashing with each other.

Thanks for the reply but the multiple messages are apering in the correct
mail box for each list

Perhaps anti-virus program is 'creating' that second copy, by not flagging
new messages as 'read' or so. (If Outlook receives messages from
the localhost)

I get the same problem. I cleared my message rules to see if there was a
conflict with any of them. It seemed as though I was getting multiple message
when I had created a rule for that email address. I think I had multiples
that were conflicting
