Outlook 2003 - Contacts dissapering from Contact List

R

Richard

Outlook 2003 on Windows XP.

Contacts are disappearing from my Outlook contacts list. People whose
email addresses I am positive were in the list are missing. How can I
stop Outlook from deleting little-used contacts?

Also, old messages are disapperaing also.

AutoAchiving is turned off.

That is the actual Contacts folder? - youve tried a search for a name you
believe should be there?
You dont have a particular msg view set?
Outlook doesnt remove data, users do

What do you mean by "Contact List?" Outlook uses no such term, so we have no
idea to which list you are referring.

Oops, I'm sorry. I meant the Address Book.

Address book entries which have not been used in a while are being
deleted automatically.

Also, older emails are being deleted automatically.

Tools >> Options >> Other >> AutoArchiving is turned OFF.

Outlook 2003 doesn't use an "Address Book". All your Contacts are stored in
the Contacts Folder......

deleted automatically.

Are you referring perhaps to the Autocomplete function?

Also, older emails are being deleted automatically.

So how do you know this? Are they appearing in the Deleted Items folder?
