Outlook 2003 archiving pst file

It seems impossible, but I have a user for whom Outlook seems to be archiving
his personal folder. User created a personal folder and periodically drags
emails from his Mailbox into this personal folder. On a regular basis, these
emails disappear from the personal folder and appear in the archive folder. I
didn't think it was possible to run AutoArchive against a personal folder.
Has anyone experienced this?

Outlook 2003sp3; Exchange Server (not sure of the version; recently
upgraded); Windows XPsp3.

From the very beginning Outlook has been able to AutoArchive a PST file. Now
why you'd want to let a user keep using a PST in an Exchange profile is
another matter entirely.
