Outlook 2003 - Add Account Greyed Out

G

George

In outlook 2003 when attempting to add an "Additional Server Type" it is
greyed out.

The list is composed of:
Microsoft Exchange Server
POP3
IMAP
HTTP
Additional Server Types

Only Exchange Server is available the rest are greyed out. How do I change
iether the registry or a .cmw file specifically to reactivate all the server
types to add?

Not sure how it was changed so they became unavailable.

Thanks in advance,

George

The administrative template for Outlook includes options to prohibit various account types. Maybe the network administrator has applied that option to a group policy object. If so, an end user can't change it.

Hi,

Not such GPO policy was applied and in the CMW cannot locate specifically
where that limit could be made other.

Are you aware of exactly where this would be located?

Value name: DisableHTTP
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 1 = Disable account type
0 = Allow account type

Prevent users from adding Exchange e-mail accounts
Value name: DisableExchange
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 1 = Disable account type
0 = Allow account type

Prevent users from adding POP3 e-mail accounts
Value name: DisablePOP3
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 1 = Disable account type
0 = Allow account type

Prevent users from adding IMAP e-mail accounts
Value name: DisableIMAP
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 1 = Disable account type
0 = Allow account type

Prevent users from adding other types of e-mail accounts
Value name: DisableOtherTypes
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 1 = Disable account type
