Outlook 2002 Profile issue, pls help

Mark Perkins

I was using Outlook Express 6 and was able to have
multiple Identities or email accounts (junk mail, wife,
me, child). When logging in you have a default Identity
and you could easily switch identities through the File
drop down menu. I'm in the process of converting over to
Outlook 2002 and the Identity setup is not very
intuitive. I have setup different Identities (accounts)
through the Tools, E-mail Accounts drop down menu. When I
log into Outlook though, it doesn't give me an option of
what Identity (account) I want to open or how to change
between them. I can't seem to find a location where I can
enter the default Identity. I can go into Tools,
Send/Recieve and get mail, but that seems like a goofy
approach and all of the mail is displayed in one window.
The support info makes reference to using the Mail icon
in Control Panel to setup the Identities and select the
default, but my system is XP and there is no Mail icon or
other link to this setup. The bottom line is, how do I
configure this thing to have a default identity when I
log in and the option to switch to different identities
in order to view email specific to that account.
Thx, Mark

In Control Panel, Select Other Control Panel Options (under See Also) - your
Mail icon is there
