Outlook 2002 Outlookbar shortcut error

I am running Outlook 2002. I have 3 shortcuts on my Outlook bar to MSMoney,
Outlook Newsreader and MSN Messenger. I have been using them with no
problems for about a year.

Just today when I clicked the Newsreader Icon, I got the following error

"The web page could not be found. This error could have been caused by a
bad or misspelled URL; following an invalid link; or your network connection
and/or transient conditions on the Internet. To check the URL, choose the
Home Page tab on the properties dialog."

The properties option on all shortcuts in the outlook bar are grayed out.

This is happening to all of the shortcuts that I dragged to the Outlook bar.
I tried recreating them to no avail. I also tried repairing icons and
repairing office. Neither worked.

Anyone else having this problem?

Check for a virus, if no virus is found recreate you
outlook profile.

No virus, I will try the profile thing. But this leads to another question.
Are all of my contacts stored in my PST file?

Thanks for all the help. I figured out the problem. I remembered that I
installed a program to edit icons. Icon Workshop and that was the culprit.
Uninstalling the program didn't work. Cleaning the registry didn't either.
So since I am running XP, I just ran a system restore back a day and it
worked perfect! This is the first time that I used this feature and I am
very pleased with it.

As for the Icon Workshop, I would advise anyone to steer clear of it. It
obviously corrupts some system files.
