outlook 2002 duplicating mail!

suddenly when i opened outlook and it "sent/received" many of the messages in
my in-box were re-received 3 or 4 times! i now have over 10,000 e-mails in
my inbox. is there a way to delete all of them and then re-get them from my
yahoo server. i dont want to lose my calendar, contacts, and saved e-mails.
