Outlook 2002 Crash

Office 2002 package
OS: XP

Situation: Client creates a new mail profile, opens outlook, sends and
receives no problem. Then, close oulook, restart, attempt to send mail,
outlook crashes and generates: "A fatal error has occurred in Outlook. The
data in your envelope has been lost, but your document is still available."
Then when I restart outlook, it pegs the CPU, then closes (crashes)
repeatidly.
Suggestions?
