Outlook 2000 won't load up properly after installation

Hi support network,

My PC's HDD crashed and I had to reinstall Ms Office 2000 Professional.
All the applications work perfectly except for Outlook which comes up with

"The operation failed" - warning box when launching Outlook. When OK button
is clicked it closes Outlook.

Can you please help me or help point me in the right direction to launch
Outlook so that I can set it up again?

I'm having the same problem with Outlook 2000; I get a message that says the
program must close because VCL50.BPL is missing. I'm not an expert with
computers; anyone know what I can do about this? Thanks.

that's a Delphi file - what addins do you have installed? when did the error
start?

Did you try a new profile? Control panel, mail applet.
