Outlook 2000 will not start

Outlook 2000, running on XP. Program begins to open then freezes.
Happened before and I was told to delete a file. I did and all was well.
Anyone know what file needs to be deleted?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, whocares asked:

Try Extend.dat and outcmd.dat.
