Outlook 2000 suddenly will not restore window when clicked on taskbar

Allo folks, have a bit of a weird one. My users have Outlook 2000 on
their XP SP2 machines, and as of a couple days ago some but not all of
them started having the same issue. This makes me suspect a windows
update, as most of them are set to automatically install.

So, the issue. Whenever they click on Outlook in the taskbar after
using the _ button on the window to minimize it, it does not bring up
the window. Subsequent clicks do nothing to restore the window.
However, if you right click and choose restore, it works fine. This is
obviously a huge pain in the butt, though. Also, it is not that the
window is off screen - when you right click the taskbar entry, the size
and move options are greyed out.

Here's the extra weird part: if Outlook is an open window and you
click on it in the task bar to minimize it, then click outlook on the
taskbar again to bring up its window, this works fine. However, right
clicking and using the restore option buggers this up and you can only
use the right click to restore.

A further weird thing: if you move or resize the outlook window, you
can then use either method to minimize it - but you are then stuck in
that method (either clicking the taskbar entry to raise or minimize the
window or using the _ button on the windown and then right clicking and
using restore).

Does anyone else have this problem, or an idea on what is causing it?
