Is there a way to setup a rule to mark messages as read? I
know you can create a rule to move the messages or delete
messages. But I wanted to create a rule to mark the
message as read and then delete so I don't have to select
the Deleted Folder and mark all as read.

I want this because if I'm creating a rule to delete the
messages then I already know I don't want to read them and
its annoying to see 20 or 30 unread messages in the
deleted items folder.

Instead of choosing the rule 'delete' , you should be able
to choose the rule 'permanently delete them' - I doubt you
will see them then, if you are definitly sure you wont be
reading them
