outlook 2000 rejects windows mail email

My wife's computer is running XP and Outlook 2000. I am running Vista with
Windows Mail. We are connected via a router. Comcast is the server. They
can't help. I can send an email from her computer to my computer, but any
email to her computer from my computer is refused with an error message
mailbox unavailable or access denied. My wife's computer is the secondary
account.

Comcast may be good at cable TV, but they suck as far as Internet support.

Can you copy the complete error message and post it here? You can
X out any sensitive information like the username.

Very peculiar! I take it you have no trouble sending email to any other
recipients? The problem appears to be on Comcast's end.

Are others able to send email to your wife?

The only workaround I can suggest is for you to email your wife
from your Hotmail account.

I used the hotmail account and the message showed up immediately on her
computer. She can receive email from anybody else, but me on the Comcast
account. I tried to send another message using my Comcast account and it
hasn't shown up for five minutes and I'm sure nothing has changed from the
last several attempts yesterday. It will show up on my Windows Mail as an
error. Unfortunately the people at Comcast can't understand why I have this
problem.

Since this appears to be a Comcast issue, you might try posting it
to the Comcast forum:
