outlook 2000 Professional SP3 on XP SP3

Hello

The program freezes as soon as it starts. All the settings are correct to
connect to the server but will not download any email.

I have tried all the workarounds for fixing outlook 2000 and want to repair
it using the installation CD.

When using the outlook 2000 professsional cd to repair, what files must I
back up and are there any files I will use?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for responding so quickly
Outlook has been working fine for 4 years. This problem started a week ago.

I know about the .pst file. I'm interested in the calendar and
contacts(address book).

Those are in the PST file. A repair will NOT touch your data,
simply reinstall the app. Your PST file and Windows Address Book,
if that is what you are using, will not be touched by the repair
process. You can even uninstall/reinstall and they won't be
touched, though you might have to tell Outlook where they are
after a reinstall if you moved them from their default locations.
