Outlook 2000 Date Navigator

My wife's PC runs Outlook 2000. Old. However, it is still usable for
calendar purposes. The problem is that the date navigator is missing. (I
don't have any small monthly calendar on the left hand side.) I assume it was
there and some option change made it disappear. Or could there be something
corrupt in the registry?
I have search online for this topic related to 2000. Suggestions for later
versions don't seem to help.

How can I get the date navigator back?

Thanks.

View => Taskpad. The calendar on the left side navigation pane was added in
Outlook 2003.

Thanks for the input. That sounds like a good reason :) It will save a
lot of more head scratching.
