Outlook 2000 Customize Outlook Today Doesn't Work

Dave

Hello,

I've just installed Outlook 2000, SP1, SP3 on a XP system.
I want to customize Outlook's home page to be a message
folder, rather than the Outlook Today page. I understand
that the "Customize Outlook Today" link at the upper right
hand corner of the page should allow me to do that.

However, this link doesn't work. Clicking, double
clicking, or right clicking on this link does nothing
other than highlight the text.

Any ideas? Any other way of getting to the customize
outlook today functions? Thanks.

The popular reason for this seems to be installing the Q813489 patch (April
2003 Cumulative Patch) for Internet Explorer. More info here:

BTW, to remove the Outlook Today home page, you'd right-click the top-level,
Outlook Today folder in your folder list, select Properties, and then
uncheck the Show... option on the Home Page tab.

I'm having the same problem--since my new computer was set
up by our IT team, I haven't been able to use this
function. I asked them and they didn't have a clue and
because they don't use it, they won't be looking into the
problem. I was able to use this function on my old
computer and miss it. I hope someone has a solution.
