Outlook 2000 and PDF files

Hello,

Have a client with a brand new desktop, XP Pro SP3, Office 2000 and Acrobat
7.x. Before my visit today, the client from within Acrobat could essentially
send the newly created PDF to email and it would attach itself to a new
email. I replaced the nic in the computer and somehow this has trashed this
functionality. What happens now is the subject line of the Outlook message
shows the attachment name and the file that is enclosed is not a PDF file but
an unknown attachment that cannot be opened. I changed the IE default
programs and re-selected OE and rested sucessfully so it appears to be an
Outlook issue more than an Acrobat issue. Any ideas ???

I'd be more included to think another app is doing something to it as
changing a nic has nothing to do with outlook or acrobat but it can affect
how firewall, antivirus and antispam utilities work.

Cany't explain why. I uninstalled Acrobat and Office, restarted and
installed both apps. PDF attachment functionality has been restored. Just
weird.

The weird part is that changing the NIC broke it. Reinstalling (or
repairing) the affected apps to fix it is fairly common. :)
