Out of office wizward replies to SPAMers resulting in NDR's

I have a an SMTP filter rerouting suspected SPAM to the Junk E-mail folder
works great however when the Out of Office wizward is turned on, Outlook
replies to all e-mails including the SPAMers which in most cases the user
receives an NDR, depending on the user 100 to 200 in a 12 hour period.

Is there anyway to not have the wizward reply to SPAMers e-mail? I would
like to setup so anything that goes into the Junk E-mail folder does not
trigger an out of office reply.

The default setting of Exchange Out of Office is NOT to reply to emails
received from outside the domain - has someone changed this setting?

No, I have managed this server since installed, no changes made.

We need the Out of office wizward to reply to others/clients sending
e-mails, letting senders know when a user returns or what ever direction a
user wishes the sender know.

Was thinking many used the Out of Ofice feature, for example vacation sick
leave etc...

Anyway replies work however this also replies to SPAM which the user get a
NDR message which is the problem, the NDR's clutter up the mailbox on the
users mobile device as well as his/her Inbox.

Need a way not to reply to anything which ends up in the Junk E-mail folder.

That's the main reason that the default Exchange Out of Office mode is not
to send replies out of the domain.....

So you suggest not sending out of office to clients?

Shouldn't one let your clients know your not going to be able to address the
e-mail they just sent?

Where would I find the setting on the exchange server for the default not to
send out of office replies?
