"Out of Office Assistant" versus "Rules Wizard"

Hi!

Outlook 2003 and Exchange Server 2003

Everything I've seen suggests that the "Out of Office Assistant" runs
before the rules defined in the "Rules Wizard". I did some testing
myself and determined that this appears to be true.

I have about 20 rules in the "Rules Wizard" for diverting mailing list
messages into various folders. I'd like the "Out of Office Assistant"
to generate an auto-reply to anything that is left after that process.

Do I need to make a rule in the "Rules Wizard" to do that?

Or, do I need to duplicate my mailing list rules from the "Rules
Wizard" to the "Out of Office Assistant"?

Is there a way to copy the rules from the "Rules Wizard" to the out of
office assistant? (Other than copy them by hand.)

Not possible to use the OOF for that. Create a rule that replies with a
template and put your OOF message in there. Make sure you set some
exceptions because unlike the OOF a rule will always reply (not just once)
and could create endless mail loops.

Won't work, if you close Outlook

How can I create a rule to have server reply with a specific message,
without granting all users with domains or exchange rights?

Aloha mc,

Actually there is a "Have Server reply with template" rule that should run
server-side if I recall correctly.
