out of frequency???

I cannot do anything onthis computer it says out of frequency and not sure
what it means or why ??? it is my sisters kids computer and she has no idea
what they did to get this error she has rebooted and it still comes upand
cannot evenget a start botton up??? any help you can all give to us we would
greatly appreciate it !!! thank you in advance

Slow down!

Take a bunch of deep breaths and then take the time to compose the
problem.

What is the problem? Give us detail. Such as when the problem occurs
and what accompanying error messages that are received. Quote the error
message. Don't paraphrase.

hiya, try turning off your computer. restart it and immediatly start pressing
f8 like a rapid heart beat. this should load the windows advanced options
menu. use the arrow keys to select enable vga mode and press return. then
select xp home or pro and press return. this should allow you to get into
windows.

now right mouse click anywhere on the desktop area and left click on
properties. this will load the display properties. click on settings, now
change the sliders for resolution to either 800x600 or 124x768. aldo adjust
the colour settings. apply. if this looks ok restart the computer to see if
it retains your settings.

If I remember correctly, this is a message from your monitor telling you that
the video card is sending a signal that is outside the range that your
monitor can handle. Probably a hardware issue.

The video accelerator has become configured to generate a
resolution/vertical refresh frequency combination your display cannot
handle. Press the f8 function key repeatedly during bootup to boot into
safe mode. In safe mode right click on the desktop and click
"Properties" on the resulting context menu. On the settings tab you will
find a slider that will allow you to reduce the screen resolution. If
you click the "advanced" button you should see aditional settings on a
pop-up customized by you video accelerator manufacturer. Most of these
customized pop-ups have options to change vertical refresh rates for
various screen resolutions. Higher resolutions are often not compatable
with higher refresh rates, some may require low rates like 70 or even 60
per second (Hz). I cannot be more specific about the advanced display
settings because of the different customized pop-ups.
