Other system sounds in XP pro sp1

When Playing MP3 files with WinAmp, I can hear other
system sounds. Like When I sign on to MSN I hear
the "Good Morning" mixed in with the Music. My old puter
(98) did'nt do this. When Listening to MP3's I want to
just hear the music without these other sounds. When not
playing mp3's, I want the normal system sounds. I can't
find any magical setting that says "Do Not Play System
sounds When Playing Music Files" :(

You can't. Wave and MP3 sounds are not separated out in Wondows XP.

Sorry, forgot to add that you can however turn off the System Sounds by :

Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds > then select none
for each System Sound that is currently active > Re-boot.

Cheers,
