{OT} *WTF* is the QuickSearch Bar ???

some application installed it on my machine (internet explorer) neither
spyware blaster, spyware guard, spybot S&D, ad-aware, spybot resident didn't
catch it. here is there so called "privacy" policy:

Don't just delete it, or you may have problems with your internet
connection. Regarding New.Net (QuickSearch:)
http://www.cexx.org/newnet.htm It apparently appears in Add/Remove
Programs and can be uninstalled from there:
http://www.new.net/help_faq.tp#p4

Why not just go to "add/remove programs" as it places an entry there.
By the way here is a quote from their "about us" page.
The QuickSearch Toolbar is bundled with several popular downloadable
applications.

It can't be good as it is in IE-SPYAD

But the weird thing is, it never showed up in add / remove programs. :-\
