[OT?] Windows Gallery changes pixel per inch

Maybe I need to shuffle off to one of those web Windows Live groups for
this. If there's a Window Gallery in a NG that would be better. Anyway,
I'll give this a shot here.

My digital camera produces a 72 dpi image 2048x160. If I use Gallery to
resize to 150x100, it gets changed to 180 dpi. I don't see anyway there
to specify dpi. If I use my old PSP 7.0, I get a 150x100 and 72 dpi.
This is much better for my purpose. Is it possible to get Gallery to do
the same?

If not, maybe there's some batch program that will not change the dpi.
I'm trying to resize nearly 100 pix.

IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com) is a free graphics editor that has a batch mode. That can resize a whole folder full of pictures in one go.
