OT: Where are the Open Office newsgroups?

I know they exist. I once subscribed to them. Please note: I am *NOT*
talking about the forums, which are conducted by email.

You will NOT find OpenOffice newsgroups on a Microsoft news server.. count
on it..

You'll have to set up the BellSouth news server. You can then do a search
for Open Office in the list of newsgroups.

Not sure what you found, but the forums linked at the OO site
aren't e-mail based; you are thinking of the listservs, not the
forums. Look again; they're there, and they are same as a
newsgroup but in a different look and feel.

OO BTW, is nothing to do with Microsoft.

Many thanks. I found the Base forum I was looking for. My problem was that I
did not know where to look in the OO.o site. "Forums" was the key.

Yes, I knew I would not find the OO.o newsgroups on a MSFT server. I just
didn't know where to look. :) But I also figured one or two of you Word
gurus would also know stuff about OO.o.

I should add that I have and normally use Microsoft Office XP. But I am a
retired software developer and I love to play with new software, whether it
has the Big M brand on it or not.

I use Agent. I'd show "all groups" - then Edit > Find: openoffice.

In <#[email protected]>, Walterius told us an
interesting story. My reply to this story is at the bottom of this
message.
