OT: Getting MSN account

You could set up a passport .net account in Windows XP.
If you have a computer administrator account
1.. Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
2.. Click your account name.
3.. Click Set up my account to use a .NET Passport.
4.. In the .NET Passport Wizard, follow the instructions as they appear on
the screen.
Hope this helps!

I want to get a standalone email account which ends in @msn.

Where can I get that from?

Thanks.

I gave you instructions on how to get one. Did you even attempt to go
through the passport.net wizard? When you answer the questions, it'll ask
you if you want a @msn or @hotmail account. That's the exact way I got
mine. The only other option you have is to subscribe to MSN 8 and you have
to pay for that. The passport.net account is free. Maybe you should read
what it's about in Help and Support.

AFAICT what you suggest is a way of linking the MSN account with my
user profile on my PC. I do not want that.

I do not want any Net passport or any such info on my PC.

I simply want to open an MN account.

Can anyone advise on how to do this?
