Once I read about AMD buying ATI a few days ago... I knew it right away...
they are headed for integrating the 2 chips into one...

so you would have CPU and GPU on one chip....

Today I saw this ...

That would bring the cost down, power down, and performance up. it would
also make computers smaller....

By the way.. we are headed for quadruple CPUs on one chip in 2007 for the
home pc ....

Wow! How exciting for you!

Did you cream yourself all at once? Or did you let it linger so you
could savor the experience?

Yep. Intel are shipping test quantities of the 4x4 to hardware
developers at the moment.

AMD are scheduled to release sometime in Q1 2007, so I would expect test
shipments mid-Q4.

so I will wait and get a 4x4 computer!

no sense in getting a dual cpu....

my current main pc can handle vista for some time...

Unless the application is written multi-threaded it makes no
difference if it's running on a single CPU or an array of 64 X 64 CPUs
- it only runs on one of them.
