.ost file in use error

Hi, I have a user that keeps getting this error. He is able to get email.
He said that when it occurs he can no longer get into his person folders. It
has been happening for about the past two weeks.

I originally thought that maybe his backup utility was running and backing
up the .ost but this was not the case.

Any ideas? Thanks all!

Is this for an Exchange account? What version of Outlook?

If this were happening to me, I'd disable Cached Exchange mode, delete the
OST, then re-enable Cached Exchange mode to see if it made any difference.
