osi model layer vs tcp/ip model

Makau

Sorry for both,
I wanted to know what is defernce between this two
layers, and what is the main problems of each layer.

I think it is two different ways of looking at basically the same thing, though the
OSI model is not protocol specific. Your best bet would be to Google
http://www.google.com for both and you will find lots of references. Personally I
like the KISS model. --- Steve

Is that a band? just kidding. :)
That would make it easier with one model, but each have their own but are
all based on the same idea!

It depends on who you talk to.

OSI:
App
Presentatin
Session
Transport
Network
Datalink
Physical

TCP/IP:
Application Layer
(which include the top 3 layers in the OSI)
Networking Layer
(which include the Transport + Network)
DataLink
Physical

I think they were/are a band. My taste leans more towards the BOSS, though I am
disappointed in his political rants as of late - can't these people stick to what
they are good at?

Don't forget the DOD model either. --- Steve

No they can't.
I think it is ego. They stand in front of a large crowd of people that
cheer them, pretty soon you think they are "somebody" and that they think
they know more than everyone else about any subject.

More than likely ego.
But didn't the BOSS retract from showing up for that political thing?

I don't know if you are talking about that latest thing with the drunken Whoopi
Goldberg fiasco. If he was supposed to go and then did not then that is good and I
may not take a CD of his I got as a gift back for cash.

Thanks ACE. Glad to know he is rethinking things a bit! I think I will open up my new
CD tonight. -- Steve
