OS 8.6 crashes when connected to W2K Advanced Server

I'm running a multiplatform network in my classroom...
12 PC's w/ Win '98
6 macs w/ OS 8.0
3 macs w/ OS 8.6
The problem I'm having is that the Macs w/ OS 8.6 crash
while connected to the W2k server. The OS 8.0 macs don't
exhibit this problem. Any ideas??? an appleshare or open
transport issue perhaps

I was thinking that it might be an OS issue and was
hoping not to go higher, bu at this point I have nothing
to loose, so I'll try putting 9.0 in the macs that are
acting up!
